Breastfeeding was such a source of stress for me the first time around. I had taken a breastfeeding class when I was pregnant with my first daughter to prepare myself, but, of course, I had no idea what it would feel like or how it would work in real life vs. on paper. I was determined to breastfeed my first born exclusively, so the pressure was really on.
SICK ON VACATION
Recently, our family took a vacation to Colorado to go snowboarding. The plan was for my husband and me to go snowboarding with friends while M attended snowboarding school and E went to daycare.
The girls napped on the plane, ate some food (I won’t admit what food), and we listened to songs from Trolls on the drive to the ski resort. M had been fighting a cold, but she seemed in good spirits when we arrived, so I was relieved. The girls didn’t sleep well that night, but we attributed that to a long day of travel. On our first full day there, M had a great day at snowboarding school. E fussed at daycare, but that was to be expected as it was her first time in a daycare setting coupled with the poor sleep the night before.
